(2) What are you most proud of in your 2 hour presentation and why?
 Im  most proud of having to be done with the whole 2 hr presentation because it was just something i had that i just wanted to get it over and done with.
PART II: Overall Senior Project Experience
(3) What do you think you did well on in the project? What could you have done better? Please explain.
 I think i did good on the  the whole senior project as a whole beacuse i was interested in what i was doing. One thing i believe i could have done better is turn things in on time which put my grade down alot.
(4) What is your EQ and what is the best answer to your EQ?
What is the best way for a cosmetologist to accentuate their clients natural beauty? My best answer is to create a specific look on thew clients nails and or with the makeup.
(5) How has the last month of culminating events (e.g I-Search, Two-Hour, Exit etc) affected your answer to your EQ? Has it changed? Why or why not?
No my answer was solid threw out all of this because i based all of these events on my best answer.
(6) What suggestions do you have in order to improve the senior project?
I think it would be best to not accumulate so manythings at once probably make them due like one each month. Also it would be good to have checks every month regardless if you are on top of your stuff or not.

Literal

• I did 50 hours of service learning. I her assistant in the class i would set up tolls and clean them up. I would also go to apply makeup on girls for special occasions. Another thing was i went to a graduate from her school.

• I did my hours with Alejandra Arevalo which is a licensed cosmetologist. She is an instructor in the RIVERSIDE TRAINING CENTER in Mira loma. 

Interpretive

What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?

The most important thing I gained from this experienced is more knowledge on how every face was different and was not always required alot of  makeup. I also gained that knowledge on how you can work with features in the face and also everything that foes on your face is important. 

Applied

How did what you did help you answer your EQ? Please explain.

Well I always how on every different model she would use different makeup, it was never the same unless it was in the eyeshadow  color but other than that every thing was different. So what Alejandra basically did was create a look for the model on the spot to go along with her face tone and face features.

Sponge activity:  seperate the senior and juniors hand out pictures with different make up brands or makeup i have done and they have to find the other one that matches it or i cut them into 2 pieces and make them find the other part of the puzzle

Introduction: What is the best way for a cosmetologist to accentuate their clients natural beauty?
a cosmetologist is a career that contains various amount of little careers that pertain to a persons beauty.
to accentuate means to make it stand out.
I chose to do cosmetology since it conatis two of the things i have a passion for whichare nails and makeup.Makeup and nails are things i enjoy to do because you can show your creativity in an artist way.


Foundation:
The career of cosmetology has various amount of careers you can choose out of. Cosmetology deals with a persons hair,skin, and hands. You have the choice in  what  you want to specialize in after you have your cosmetology license. The careers you can choose out of are makeup artist, hair dresser, manicurist, esthetics, and massage therapy.
Body:

Answer 1: create a look on the client  with makeup.
-----Activity 1:  i plan to let the person they are sitting next to apply makeup and create a look for them base on their tone and face features.
Answer 2: create a natural look on the nails
-----Activity 2:  i plan to let the other person now do a brief simple manicure to the person.

Conclusion
What is your best answer and why?-- my best answer is to  create a specific look for the client because not all clients have the same skin tone, same face shape and same type of face. on the nails you need to create a look because of the nail tip they may get and/or the color the want.
What is your 3 most important sources and why?-- k.i.s.s. guide to beauty by stephanie pedersan this book heled me alot on how to use each product and where to apply it as well as how to apply it to make it look natural. it also helped on what products are best for your skin tone.

My service learning:  alejandra arevelo she just basiccally showed me all in person on what i read in books and in my research checks.

Independet Study 2 Approval

1. What i plan to do is continue  to do the nails and also start to apply make-up on a person to show the natural beauty.

2.  As the first independent study it goes back to my answer to  the one of creating a look for a person . Which I believe it to be my best answer .

Independent Study 1

1. For my first 20 hours i went to go do a little service learning in a nail supply store that would also have classes. I did the 20 hours with a man named Gillermo  which was the owner of the store.What I would  do there was  help them clean the supply and set it where Gillermo desired and observe classes the nail teacher would give to her students. I had stop going for a while to begin practicing on my own because i basically would get free classes.My other hours where basically just practicing what I would observe.s

Literal:

• I, Yanira Olivarria, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.

• As stated what I did which was basically go to do some service learning with a man named Gillermo  and help him set the shop and watch some nail classes given. Since I'm a visual learner which by observing the classes I learned the basics.

Interpretive:

I basically for now have my pictures to proved I have learned something while being with Gillermo and  everyone else that worked there.

Applied:

One of my answers is to create a look for someone which is basically what I did with  the nails by setting out my creativity on the nail. The way i would create a look for someone was by using their favorite color and just setting out my creativity.

ESLR Check

1. I feel I have been lacking in the job of turning in things at time but as time goes on I notice that it will come back and bite me. So I have needed to make more time for myself to make everything possible to become better as an effective learner.

2. I believe that my service learning  was one of the things that made me realize i  need to work a little bit more of it because i depended on a people which then did not end up keeping their words so it affected me with my grade and such. But other than that i think everything with in my service learning are going well.


3. To make up for this I need to make time to check these things to be in order and also make sure people will keep their word in  what they say because I believe that mainly  affected me.
